Shipping from Oz to HK

We're moving to HK in July, from Brisbane. I emailed lots of companies, and found the best to be http://www.sevenseasworldwide.com/ This one was recommended by some other Australian expats, and the quote was by far the best. For door to door, book boxes are only $85AUD for the first one (30kg)and half of that for subsequent boxes. They told me it would take about 8 weeks from Brisbane. I was impressed by the service - prompt email replies with all the info I needed. I found it very annoying that so many other companies wanted an inventory of what I was sending - I just wanted the rate for the teachests and book boxes. Which reminds me.... my boxes are set up all over the house, waiting to be filled....

If you don't have much contact your airline an ask them about using thier cargo service. We found it a easier, cheaper option when we moved from NZ.

The quote they have given you is for their teachests, as least that's what they told me. They're large boxes, 30kg max. The book boxes are smaller, same mass limit, but $85 for the first one and half, the rest. It might be worth double checking with them. Ours go on Thursday! Very hard to decide what to put in them....
