Am looking for a photographer that is able to shoot pics of my kids with me as a birthday pressie for the 'dad that doesn't want anything'.
Photographer needs to be able to make us relaxed, take divine shots and not be expensive i.e. around the $3000 mark, ideally looking for someone cheaper but with the same expertise and quality.
Recommendations highly wecome, if Ed allows them, and thanks in advance.

Our friend took pictures of our bub. He doesn't have the right qualifications but has a great semi-professional camera and does it primarily coz he loves it. This is his website http://www.flickr.com/photos/maskofchina. Please pm me for his email address if you are interested. Or it could be on his website. We've used him for our son's first birthday and on general occasions when we want the grandparents' memorable gifts. It's always turned out wonderful. He's Canadian Chinese so he speaks perfect English.

We do ours at Star Studio. $ 880 a package, awesome photographer specializing in kids, lots of different costumes, and background to choose from. You can also choose outdoor (a little more expensive though).

Dune studios are awesome - in your home or hers and she will arrange canvas blow ups of your fmaily and provide the photos on disc for future prints. They have a website and Gen is wonderful with the children and we have some beautiful classic photos from one hour of playing..

I have just recommended Dune Studio on the practical area and I have noticed that someone else is also recommending Gen.
She did the most fantastic black and whites at the beach with my son. She is definitely worth meeting . Really reasonably priced and Gen makes it such a fun experience.
