baby carrier- ergo

Hi,

I have a baby bjorn carrier, but find that it cuts off the circulation of my baby's legs- her leg's get splotchy red and blue spots after being in it for 15 minutes. She is on the big side, which is probably the problem. Anyhow, I was thinking about getting an ergo baby carrier instead. Does anyone know a shop that sells this, as I would like to try it out first before I spend another small fortune on a carrier. Thanks!

I hadn't seen them here in HK so had to order mine from an online store in Macau. Where abouts are you? I have found mine to be fantastic but I know what it's like as I tried a few before buying the ergo. Please send me a PM if you'd like to come and try mine before investing in one yourself.

I have the Ergo Carrier too. I ordered it too from the macau store.

I find the ergo carrier hard to use. It's ok, but not excellent. I like the babyjorn much better. Unfortunately, kids outgrow the babyjorn, and now I have no choice but to use the Ergo carrier.

I use it only for front carrying, and my husband HATES using it. Maybe we're petite, the straps cuts our neck, and one always need another person to help the baby into the carrier and help tighten the straps.

I don't know, I wish there was better option for us.

I use the hippychick a lot more, but it's a total different item and for different purpose.

Hi Katetam,

I use ergo too and i like it. I place the strap not at the back of the neck but in the middle area so it's easier for me to snap it even if baby is in the carrier. You can adjust this, i find that i cannot do it myself if it's at the back of my neck. You don't have to tighten anything except to close that snap.

It's "ugly" compared to slings but it's the most comfortable carrier for me. I can walk for hours without having a back or shoulder ache.

i love using the ergo. i bought it from http://www.doubibou.com/summer/newsummer.html. I emailed the woman, and she was able to pass it onto me at annerley's in central (i think she must do seminars there).

thanks honeypie. I know many people that says they love the Ergo carrier. It's one reason I bought it. But anyways, my baby is outgrowing the "carrying " stage. He loves to walk... or in the stroller. Very little time for me to use the carrier, only when we are on vacation. Otherwise, my helper just carries him when we go out.
