Recording from NOW TV channels

I'm a bit behind the ball on techy issues...so would appreciate any help!

I recently bought a DVD recorder, and the instructions were saying that I can record from cable TV. although the diagram says that the cable box should have 'antennae in/out' holes. I cannot find it on the NOW TV box...

Does this mean that it is impossible to record from cable?

"Otherwise", carmine! It certainly IS possible to record from NOW as we do it quite often.

turquoiseblue, if you are prepared to devote a serious chunk of your life liaising with NOW's very shaky Customer Service tepidline, they should be able to help you.

NowTV has problem with some gear, ie turning into black and white on my old JVC VCR model (#5000 something) but no problem with my Pioneer DVD player DVR 340

There's no need to record as everything gets repeated at least 10 times!!!

if you do indeed download from Now TV, ensure you do not share the recorded program!

It can be traced directly back to you!

I have no trouble recording NOW TV programmes for myself on both videotape and DVD, though the settings and cable hookups are a little different depending on each recorder. One note is that you can't pre-program the recorders for future recording of more than one NOW channel (as, for example, you are going away for a few days), and the little NOW box has to be turned on to the channel you want to record as of the time you are recording. But there never have been any technical issues doing this.

thanks for your advice guys.

it is a pioneer dvd recorder - model 340 too.

so if i remove those white/yellow/red plugs from the tv and put it in the dvd recorder instead, what type of cable and whereabouts do i plug in between the dvd and tv?

I will try replacing the yellow rca jack with S-video cable which comes with NowTV cable box. This is my set up and I get a better picture.
