I'm looking for an economy ticket in Sept or Oct for travel from Singapore to HK return (staying in HK 3 days).
Could anyone suggest some budget airlines?

A friend of mine found some great fares with Jetstar www.jetstar.com. The promotional fares from CX and SIA can be excellent, if you're flexible with dates. United also has some special offers, but it's a very early flight.

Jetstar will be direct Sin-HKD. Google online booking to get the lowest rate(Jetsaver),about SGD360+ per pax/return trip. There is an early and afternoon flight per day.
The other option is Tiger Airways(Sin- Macau) for around SGD200+ per pax/return trip.

I used Jetstar last month, it's great! Paid 1700 for round trip. CX and SIN were both at least $2500. Just check the fare online, click and print the ticket. Checkin no problem. Single-aisle plane, seats are leather. I didn't buy the onboard meal but they didn't look that bad and the prices are not excessive.

Jetstar is actually a subsidary of Quantas.very nice to fly with except for the people in Chang Yi airport, when I asked them question about my transfer flight to KL, they awere rude, you are flying budget airline,that's is...you should go out the immigration and come back in again, I was quite shock to their attitude!
