Take Route 5 from Tsuen Wan, exit at 9B and take Route 7 to Exit 10 (San Po Kong).

And next year, you will be able to search for optimised driving routes online via digitised maps, but that doesn't help you today...

Driving from Tsuen Wan to east Kowloon is very straightforward via highway. There are several routes, with Route 5 being the fastest.


From Tsuen Wan, no matter which route you take, follow the direction signs toward KOWLOON. This will eventually take you onto the highway (Route 5, Ching Cheung Road). Keep following the direction for Kowloon, until you see you see direction signs for KWUN TONG, and follow this route. This will take you to Route 7 (Lung Cheung Road). The exit for San Po Kong is just marked "San Po Kong".


Although I have included the route names (Ching Cheung Road and Lung Cheung Road), this is for completeness, and are useless when driving, as they are not sign posted.


To get to Route 5 from Tsuen Wan central, drive along Sha Tsui Road in a northwest direction, and you will see a direction sign for Kowloon (it should be a left turn).
