Hi I just filed a US Tax return through an agency here in Hong Kong. I realize that prices vary depending on the level of complexity or lackthereof of the filing but i just wanted to know whether a charge of 6,500HK Dollars for a state and fed filing for an US expat is considered a reasonable fee. The person doing the tax would have to consider the procedure and adjustments for expat normal packages they get, credits, deductions etc. which are just very normal from mortgage interest, etc. but not too much other stuff to report or deduct..
This was my first time filing from HK so i am not aware of whether this fee is fair or not.
