Dermatologist for IPL

ORIGINAL POST

Hi! I am looking for a dermatologist for IPL treatment. I am specifically looking to remove freckles. My skin is rather sensitive, so I am being careful. Does anyone have any first-hand experience with a good dermatologist? Thanks!

I'm hoping to go to a dermatologist though.

All dermatologists do "cosmetic".

Pumpkin, for the last 10 years I've been having the veins removed around my nose and yes, it hurts so much I can't believe it but I will keep doing it because it looks so much better afterwards.

I book 5 minute sessions since I can't take the pain for more than that. It costs me $150.00 US in Chicago and about $800.00HK in Hong Kong for about 3 minutes.

Ohh what we do for our appearances.

Any good first-hand experiences about the removal of freckles? Any side-effects? Any down time? Dermatologist recommendations?

Try the new IPL at Dr Lauren Bramleys with Pauline - I have done lots of IPL in the past but this new generation one is by far the best.

I answered a post recently by someone promoting discounts on Skinceuticals thinking it would be just more horrible spam and I got a great price and true Vit C& E Ferulic for 600 instead of 800.

This gal also sells Elemeis and Murad and Neostrata along with a few other top brands. I met her and it was all very professional.

I'm really addicted to the stuff and 200.00 is a big savings since I buy 3-4 bottles per year.

Tidings2, lucky you. I am allergic to C E Ferulic. My face would turn itchy. I received a sample and tried it once. I heard so much wonders about this lotion. What exactly does it do to your skin?

The itchyness and slight irritation will go away if you will just keep using it. It is youth serum !

It is for reducing lines and making your skin radiant. It rectifies sun damage and prevents more dead cell buildup.

Tidings2, may I ask how often do you go to see Dr.Ho, I've been thinking about to see her for a consultation....

I see her twice per year. Usually for something like a cyst or medical condition and then once for beauty supplies or treatments.

I agree Lauren Bramley is very reputable, but Dr. Image has the top-of-the-line IPL machine called the Lumenis one. they have a nurses price as well as a doctor's price. It's advisable to stay away from the sun in between IPL sessions though,as the sun spots tend to come back with sun exposure. IPL removed the nasty fine hairs from my upper lip at the same time...ask more about the Lumenis one from Dr. Tom
