the only instrumental piece I can think associated with catchay is is Ryuichi Sakamoto's and the heart of asia. It was an original score created for cathay - but more electronica than 70's instrumental. This was for the late nineties..

have a look on you tube, there are loads of Cathay TV commercial videos - you might get lucky.
