Can anyone advise where I can go to buy one of those desk that sits over the top of the built in window area, thus giving more room in a small second bedroom/study. Tks.

I think since most windows vary in size, you would have to get one custom-made.....many furniture shops would be happy to send over somone to measure and then give price edepending ur requirements
