Hi all,
Hubby and I are renewing our wedding vows in 2.5 weeks time and - although we know we could do it ourselves - we'd really like to find a celebrant who can help us put together a nice service.
We're finding that most (all?) civil celebrants in HK are lawyers, and because there's no paper work involved, the ones we've asked haven't been keen to help.
A friend has kindly offered, but we'd ideally like someone who's performed marriages before.
Does anyone know of a non-lawyer civil celebrant in HK, a retired celebrant, or perhaps someone who used to be a celebrant before moving to HK?
Many thanks in advance!

wedding> By law, civil celebrants in HK must be a practising solicitor or notary public. As the CCM scheme has only been going for just over a year, it would be unlikely that you would be able to find a retired HK CC.
It does seem that your only choice is to find someone who has acted as a CC overseas. Good luck.

I thought i posted this earlier but it must have been deleted, why i'm helping someone out.
Call one of the wedding planners in HK and i'm sure they'd be more than happy to give you a couple of numbers.

Thanks everyone.
I still have my fingers crossed that an ex-celebrant will materialise, but I'll definitely contact some wedding planners tomorrow.

You can also ask some of the ministers of religion - look at the different churches
