Scenario: 4 pm on a weekday in early June, rain persisting down and friends over here on holiday from Europe have just got married at Cotton Tree Drive...
Any ideas on where would be open to take them and their little boys for a really nice late afternoon/early evening celebratory Chinese meal?
And I know this bit should probably be posted in the kiddies section, but not having any knowledge of what children get up to locally I'd really appreciate any ideas on how to keep two energetic boys entertained in inclement weather for a fortnight. We'll do a couple of museums I suppose and we'll try to get out and about a bit, but I'd love to know of other indoor options if the rain persists as it's forecast to. Plonking them in front of a pile of DVDs doesn't seem much of a holiday! We're in the Sai Kung area.
Many thanks for any ideas!

The heritage museum has a hands on kiddies section - Ok to kill an hour or two but not a whole day.
There are some indoor play areas in the new territories - Snoopy's world - I think. I will check details of these and post again.

Not sure how old the boys are. You'd be very unlucky if it rained every day. This website may help www.hkwithkids.com. There's obviously Disney, Ocean Park etc for the better days. You could try the skating rinks (Festival Walk, Taikoo Shing, AMC) for hotter or wetter days. The YWCA is running quite a few summer courses for children if they'd like to sign on for one of those for a few days (cooking, swimming, football etc.). The other museums are also popular with most children. If you're a member or have friends who are, most clubs have decent indoor play areas.

Depends on their age and the weather but in Sai Kung area you've a few options: Lions' Nature reserve in Sai Kung, bus to Wong Shek pier and kaido to Tap Mun, Sampan from Saikung Town to one of the smaller islands.
