Hi Wilson,

To open an office in korea is very easy, there are Two ways you can open an office in seoul or any where in korea,The most important thing is that if you have a company already in your home country or any other country? or if you are planing to open a company in korea (a new one)?

(1)If you have already a company registered in your country,it is very easy to open a branch office in korea by just showing some amount in your bank in korea (as a bank statement)it is almost about 50,000 USD.second you rent an office ,you bring your bank statement and office contract along with the parent company documents attested by korean embassy (parent company's country)in the tax office and they issue you the business certificate.thats it.BUT.In korea language is still a problem even they hosted olympics in 1988 and 2002 world cup soccer.I sugest the best way is to hire an accountant and let it go by their way.

(2)opening new company in korea.

This also require the same process plus residence contract bigger office and about 100,000USD to show as a statement, they issue you business certificate and you can also get permanent business visa with an ID card. you can employ up to 4 people in your office and they also get the same benifits as you.

HERE IS THE MAIN KOREAN BUSINESS CENTER'S SITE.I HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU ,,http://english.kotra.or.kr/wps/portal/dken

(hiring a lawyer is still cheapest with the least stress)

Note:Make sure you don't go to seoul with a tourist visa,a short term business visa C2/C3 is better. with tourist visa you will have to leave the country if you want to change the business visa.
