any pros & cons for those 2 vaccines? we are not sure about giving the shoot to our baby...

Just done these both with my baby(no.3)no side effects.My eldest had severe dehydration with rotavirus when she had it.Had to be put on a drip and got two ear infections as a result of weakened state the dehydration put her immune system in.The vaccine(given in drops form)is suppose to prevent these extreme symtoms if you contract rotavirus.I would give it to my two elder kids if they were not past the age recommendation.

it depends on what your concerns are re. the vaccines. prevnar is very expensive esp. if your baby is young and therefore requires more shots. and there is the side effect of fever in some babies.

but for me, we did both for the peace of mind - we felt that it was not worth saving the money and between a mild fever compared to a long hospital stay, no contest!
