I was involved in a traffic accident recently - the traffic police took a statement and said he would contact me soon. Does anyone know what happens next. Somebody ran in front of my car - the person was only slightly injured but did go to hospital. Is it OK to get my car fixed - would I seek legal advise - do I contact me insurance company?

i am sure its the same in h k as US.........don't admit fault even if you believe you were. in my home state of minnesota the sates pedestrians always have the "right of way" but then there is "gray areas". and of course pedestrians are not allowed on "exressways", "freways" and "interstaes". so of course they wouldn't have "right of way there.
anyhow, yes i would seek legal advice. take "your own photos" of the car and any property inside it especially if it was damaged during the accident. "before" pics of the vehicle would also be a plus.
