I am wondering what is the best water to use to make baby's formula? Distilled water i.e. Watsons Water or filtered tap water and bring to boil?
Does using different sources of water increases the risk of allergies or stomach upset in babies?
Thanks

Distilled Water does nothing for the body infact it strips it off it's natural minerals.
You should drink Mineral Water (Evian, Volvic, etc). When mine were on formula, it was made with Volvic.

woah...is there something wrong with boiled tap water in HK? that's what we do in singapore, i thought mineral water contains too much sodium for little bubs?

I was always told, by doctors too, that distilled water is only good for a car and that distilled water is commonly used to top up lead acid batteries used in cars and trucks. Also, the lack of naturally-occurring minerals in distilled water has raised some concerns.
With regards to tap water, i would imagine it's fine as it will still hold it's own minerals and fluroide.
Have checked the web and most sites recommend mineral over distilled, for obvious reasons.

HK tap water is fine and has added fluoride. Filter and boil to make up bottles. You have to be careful with bottled mineral water to make sure you are not overdosing bubs with certain minerals.

That's why Volvic is recommended for use by doctors because it is fit for bubbas consumption
