I need to replace the eyes of my sea fishing rod. Is there anywhere I can take it and, even if there is, would it make more sense to buy a new rod instead of paying for a repair?

190K, many thanks for all the advice. I tried the place in SZ a few weeks ago. They didn't have matching eyes at Lowu Commercial City and wouldn't undertake a repair in any case as they said it wouldn't look good - which is pretty honest of them considering what goes on over there.
The rod isn't up to much so I think I'll have a go myself, use it as a spare, and buy a new rod.
I would definitely be interested in joining an angling club or joining you and/or a small group on a small boat trip. I'll get back to shortly if that's okay as my life is a bit chaotic at present.

conordec, my husbans syas there is a pretty big fishing shop in kwun tong called Fish Mart, along Kwun tong rd...get off kwun tong station and look for exit going towards kwun tong govt offices...its about 5 minute walk from the station...watch out for the sign in blue and white next to a hair salon
