has anyone out there heard of this product or has purchase one? I would like to understand more of this product and its effectiveness.

check out the book "Einstein Never Used Flashcards" a book which debunks a LOT of the myths around child education and raising smarter children. More is not necessarily better and expensive and flashy is not necessarily better either. As Cara and Waffle Hk said, SPEAKING to your children in the best thing to do. Allowing "conversational turns" is the one thing you can do. (you speak, he speaks, you respond, he responds.) research shows that even NON verbal babies, can respond to conversational turns. THe baby grunts and points, and you ask do you want the ball? Baby shakes his head and points and grunts again, and you ask, "oh - do you want the cat?" and again another grunt, more impatient and then you say, "oh do you want this box." The baby is satisfied and is happily playing with the box. THESE sort of interactions are the ones that make for a more intelligent baby - not the programs and flashy computer things.


the book itself has lots of interesting ways to test your child's growth and progress in different areas and is a very very good read, backed up by excellent research.
