Water pipes leakage

There is leakage from our apartment downstairs. The landlord asked us to move out to a hotel (he'll reimburse) for 4 days. The expected works to be done are: change the pipes outside the apartment and ingoing pipes in the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The apartment itself is small (800sf). My question is: is it really possible to do all that in just 4 days? All this is already extremely inconvenient for us as we have one 7 year old and one newborn baby. It will be awful if the contractor doesn’t finish everything in 4 days. Anybody knows anything about pipes renovations? Thanks.

Possible, but sometimes, things happen, and it's out of their control... might take longer.

Ask your landlord ahead of time, what happens IF it does take longer than 4 days?

He should cut your rent in half this month, not just the hotel costs.

Also, expect a HUGE mess and really dirty after they are finished.

Also run your pipes for awhile after you move back before using it to drink or cook... there will be a funny taste.
