My period was due 2 days ago and it hasn't arrived yet. For reasons I won't bore you with, I'm not pregnant (and never will be.)It's just that my periods never arrive on the same day month in and month out. I've tried taking the Pill to sort it out but they make me sick. Anyone else have this annoying problem?

what do you mean the same day? As far as I know a cycle between 25-35 days is normal.... as long as you have it every month no need to worry about it. If you don't want to get pregnant I don't see why it annoys you?

I'm on the pill, so I always know when my period arrives.

my period has never been on time EVER.
i have been to doctors and basically, they say it's not something you need to seek cure. well at least it wasn't something I need to seek cure. just everyone's cycle is different. however you need to find out if it's the cycle or there's something else.

Do you have it every month? There was a time where I only have my period once every 3-4 months. My doctor ( or rather my boss's who charges HK1000.00 for consultation alone!) put me on a pill called Yazmin. I was okay for the first 5 days, afterwards all I wanted to do was sleep and eat and I nursed splitting headache all the time. I stopped taking it after a week. Then I took evening primrose oil. After 5 months, my period become regular up until now ( 2 years later)

Yes I have it every month but when it's going to arrive, it guess work. There's a new Pill arriving in HK soon, I might give that a go. Sigh...

Does anyone know if there is an injection available here in HK that stops you having a period each month?

chiki - although I have it every month, it can arrive anywhere between the 2nd and, well, whatever day it arrives this month.Like my last cycle was 31 days and this cycle is up to day 35 so fa! Appparently it's normal for some women to be irregular and have different cycle lengths but I wondered how others coped with it who aren't on the Pill. I get signs it's on it's way (tender breasts etc) but I waste pads because it comes whenever, always overnight and I've been caught out a number of times (ie: wearing no protection)so it would be nice if it arrived within a couple of days of each month instead of me having to guess and like I said waste pads, waiting for it to arrive.

Meggsabroad -
For the shots, just go to any GP.

Years ago I had a shot and had a nasty allergic reaction (my throat swelled up and couldn't breathe)so I'm a bit scared of trying it again. Maybe I should have a hysterectomy!! That would sure solve the problem!

If you know when you ovulate then the time between ovulation and the first day of your period (your luteal phase) is always the same (usually between 10 to 16 days). Maybe your body is particularly senstitive to stress and environmental factors so your ovulation may be delayed and therefore your cycle is not consistent. There are great books on getting to know all the mechanics of your cycle so you could, with ease, be able to know when to expect your period.
