Multifunction printers - which one is best

Hi, I'm a Mac user and about to buy a printer. I've done some research but would love to hear from you about the joys/woes of your printer. In particular, I'm looking for a b/w and colour printer that will also scan/copy/fax. Wirless conection would be a bonus.


Any ideas of brands/models?

I have used HP for years on end and have such great luck with all them. Laser and inkjet. I've had at least 7 between office and home and I don't remember one ever breaking down, I just usually give them to staff and get new ones abt every 2 years.

If you are a mac user and you use the airport express, then you can just plug in almost any printer into the usb port on the airport express... you'll be able to print wirelessly then. But you can only print wirelessly, you won't be able to scan a soft copy onto your computer unless you plug the usb wire directly to your computer.


I have used an HP all in one printer before and had no problem with it. Now I'm using an Epson all in one and it works great. What I like about the epson is that you can buy colored inks separately so if only the red ink is low, then that's the only ink cartridge you need to replace. Most other brands require you to replace the whole color cartridge even if only one color is running low.


There are wireless printers available now, but i don't know whether you can use the other functions, i.e. scan, copy or fax; wirelessly.
