Does anyone know where I can go to get a leg and bikini wax in Shenzhen?

To one of the larger hotel chains...Crowne Plaza, Landmark, Shangri La - if you do be prepared to pay costly prices.

But I warn you even going there they may not truly know how to wax large areas such as bikini, legs, arms and eyebrows tend to come out pencil thin.

Having lived there previously I learnt that Chinese know how to thread and pluck but waxing is abit not known as Chinese generally have little to no hair in other areas of their bodies.

An alternative is to get "Veet" or go for the threading.

thanks, I'll give the hotels a go, otherwise just cross the boarder and do it in HK! Not fond of veet or anything I do myself cos I always mess it up. And threading is great for eybrows but must be painful for legs?

Actually if you wax regularly the root of your leg hair should be very easy to pull thus making threading not so painful as you may think - I was actually surprised when I first did it as an alternative to waxing when traveling on business in China.

I tend to use the VEET mousse or creame for removing hair as the wax is a nightmare I cannot use it too as I seem to get eax everywhere.

I know that there is a place, it's a manicure place, but they also do the thread for legs. 3 floor at I-Mixc. RMB150 for legs, pretty good price. They are doing great job at manicure and pedicure as well!!!

As to bikini wax, I tried that once in a nice spa place near the train station, but they have not really done that before!! I was her first! It's ok, but not as good as I expected.... so go to HK for that!
