I've been shaving all these yrs and now i really wanna see how smooth it would become when i start to wax.
Im talkin about bikini and underarms..
Any thoughts? Is that gonna be painful?

Before you go straight out and begin to wax your bikini and under arms - my waxer recommended that I use "Veet" for at least a month before I began waxing to help minimize the pain, redness and make it easier for the hair to pull out.
When you first start waxing it can be painful and a few extra pulls may be needed to remove the hair. This can be minimzed by using "Veet." It will take at least 3 visits till the hair is easy to pull out.
Be prepared for some ingrown hairs as well after the first few waxings.

It's a brand of waxing strips that can be used at home.
I have been waxing my underarms on & off for the past year and the difference between shaved & waxed underarms is fab. Won't lie to u, it did hurt - but just the 1st time and i didn't get any ingrown hairs as mentioned above.

Veet is a brand that has hair removal products. http://www.veet.com/
In my posting I stated to use Veet - I mean for you to use the Veet hair removing mousse or creame at first.
Also, keep in mind that everyone's hair root varies and so does everyone's threshold for pian. Some people's hair is thicker and deeper making it difficult and painful to remove hair if it is deep and somewhat thick. This is why I recommend using Veet mousse or creame first.
Once you go through the process and begin to wax the results will be smoother and you will notice that your hair is thinner and some may even stop to grow.

Veet is in Park 'n' Shop too. I use Veet for bikini line, and it's great cos the hair just scrapes off after about 6 minutes, but would it help in minimising pain with waxing? I've been thinking about trying waxing cos it will be more convenient than Veet (and probably quicker). Also does the hair have to be quite long before the wax strips work?

The ready-to-use wax strips normally suggest about 5mm approx for removal to be most effective.

my roommate always recommends that you take a tylenol (panadol) an hour or so before your appointment. helps to reduce the pain.
ive not tried it out yet, but i've been shaving.
i didnt realize you could use Veet wax strips for your bikini line. i tried them out on my underarm, and it didnt work out too well.

I began regularly waxing about 7 years ago prior I use to shave. Years of shaving caused my hair to be deep rooted and coarse. The first time I had my legs waxed, I went to a professional waxer and several pulls were required to get the hair to come out. About 3 years ago in addition to getting my legs, arms and armpits done, I wanted to try a brazilian. I would regularly shave this area as well - the waxer did a few pulls and OUCH! Now I have a high tolerance of pain - so I have been told but this was painful. The waxer stopped she said that I should try VEET mousse/creame to help the coarse hair to be less deep rooted. I tried this approach for two months and what a major difference when I went back for the brazilian- she said that VEET is good to help coarse deep rooted hair to become thinner so the hair pulls with ease thus minimizing the pain some may experience from waxing.
If you are considering waxing I suggest that you go to a professional a few times before doing it on your own. As your visits will laow you to become familiar with the technique and ask questions before venturing out on your own if you so wish to do so.

G/m&m - I've got myself VEET and i got a green bottle and it says i can do it when im in shower. I need to put it on and wait for 3 min or so and then shower. Is this one what ur talkin about? Can i put it everywhere of my body? (like underarms / legs / bikini area?)
So after how long i can start trying Brazilian? I know Brazilian is supposed to be the whole entire area down there. Can i put VEET on the whole area as well? or not? (sorry i really am i newbie)
