I have been on the pill (for birth control reasons as well as hormonal reasons) for quite a while now. Last month I had a surgery operated and the doc advised that I stopped the pill as I had to take other medications so I did. Supposedly I would get my period last weekend. And guess what, I didn't. bf and I had been using condoms the last month, but I was so worried I got myself a test anyway a couple of days ago and it was negative.
The question is, would surgery/related medications affect one's cycle? Im thinking about going back on the pill anyway, since my test already showed that Im not pregnant..

Check it out with you doctor first, but when I first came off the pill after a few years of taking it, it took a few months for my cycle to settle down again and become regular.
