Has anyone did a stool test on their babies' stool? What does it involve? Where can it be done? My baby has been having problems with formulas, and I would like to nail down his issue by doing a stool test i.e determine if he is lactose intolerant or allergic to cow's milk protein?
I have consulted two doctors, and over the last 4 months, he has switched between 3 brands of formula. I really want to stop his agony of switching formulas. Hence the thought of doing the test.

Go to the docs, they'll give you a pot and spatu;aw, when he does a poo you have to out it in the pot, keep it warn (we used a hot water bottle for this) and get it to the docs.
Not a great process and smelly. The things us Mothers do!
