Any ideas on the relative price. Of course it depends on materials etc and Shenzhen doesn't stick quality fabrics like Zegna, but what should I expect to pay for a decent two piece - is the price difference worth it?
Thinking at this stage of getting a tux made ... sick of paying 400 each time I hire one ...
TIA

Suits made in HK are more expensive, but the quality is so much better than Shenzhen. There really is no comparison.
As for prices, they range in HK, in central there are good quality tailors who would probably charge about 3500 - 4000 for a tux (usually about 4500 - 5000 for a 3 piece suit) so maybe a bit less. At TST, lesser quality fabric and make but about 1500- 2000.
In shenzhen you are probably looking at 300 or 400. So not an expensive mistake if it doesnt turn out. You'd need to go back and get fittings, unless you were coping it from another tuxedo.

totally agree with adelaide on the concept.
my brother just ordered a suit shenzhen this weekend. he took one of the suits that he likes to the shop, picked out the fabric and requested to copy the style. he had to leave the suit with them. he will be returning the sz this coming weekend for his fitting and then they say it will take them another 2-3 days to have it finished. so expect to make like 3 trips. but maybe worth the cost. for a 2 peice suit and quite ok fabic quality (he brought a cour courrie suit to compare) he only paid $650. he's using this as a trial and thinking if things work out he'd be ordering more with them since they already have his dimensions.
