Maybe u shld do a research on pros n cons on the web before u purchase. I was told the S-Type has high fuel consumption..don't know abt the X-Type. It is a nice looking car though. Cheers!

Tried doing a search for reviews and non in HK market, mostly abroad. Maybe u cld do a comparison with luxury models of the same range of CC like Beemer, Mercs, Lexus?
Got a review that says the Consumer Reports(in the states i think) lists the Jag X-Type(all years n engines) are not reliable. Maybe some Jag owners in here cld spare u better advise.

Purchased the 2.5 X type Jag which is a 4 wheel drive from new. It was pure heaven to drive, comfortable, sporty, reliable and handled very well. Did alot of milage and only had two small minor issues with it. You will have great fun driving this car. The only improvement I would recommend is that it needs a cup holder... The Jag service centre here is on the whole very good. Sold it recently when it was nearly 5 years old to upgrade to another Jag model.

from what I have heard the X type uses a ford (Mondeo) chassis and a light weight body. Whereas the standard jags are solely built by Jaguar.
