Can someone tell me if this is the same as financial consultants? Also, where can I find them. My friend has inherited a big some of money and needs some help. Thanks

I am also looking for this kind of consultant, not that I have a lot of money. What I found is most financial consultants are affiliated with some financial institutions or investment firms, and are therefore not able to give unbiased opinions. I am interested in speaking to someone who only works as a consultant who understands the market, can do a review of our current portfolio, and provides a recommendation on what changes are necessary based on our short term and long term needs.
Any such persons out there?
