I'm moving to HK in Sept. on a 2-3 assignment and wanted to know if it's common to lease cars rather than buying? I want the flexibiity of getting a new car, using it for a couple of years and then walking away.

I've not really heard abt leasing a car. But u cld also consider renting one on a monthly or yearly basis...am sure they will give u a gd package.

Volvo certainly do it, and I think DCH do too. But it's not common.

Avis rent a car and Hawk rent a car do long term leasing.
I have rented a car and am tied into 2 year lease. In retrospect the costs of second hand cars are much less than I thought so I probably would have bought rather than rented had I thought more about it.
In the end its a choice as to whether getting a rental car with insurance, maintenance etc etc is worth paying extra for ?
