Has Chatachuk been demolished due to the new airport in Bangkok?

Don't think so. I will be going to Bangkok in August and spoke to a Thai friend a couple of weeks ago. She still suggested I take a trip there on the Sunday morning.

It's still open, with security surveillance cameras in place.
I'll be going at the end of Aug, so if there's any change, please update.
The new Suvarnabhumi airport is outside Bangkok (East side). Chatuchak is within Bangkok(North), nearer to the old airport.
I think the one that was supposed to be demolished is the "Suan Lam" night market.

fear not. I was there just this week, and can report that it's all still intact and thriving. Still great bargains and great fun, but go early and drink lots of water!
