Hello everybody, would anyone know how a foreigner could obtain a police clearance document ?
I have been working here for one year now and I intend to work in another country that requires it.
I tried the local police station where I'm registered, nothing. I was sent to a Notary office, then to a central police station, nothing. I went to another local police station and they said they do only for chinese nationals. They had no idea where I could do one for me. I paid a small consultation fee for the lawyer beside the police station (ok, I admit it was along shot...) and he mentioned some Foreign Affairs Office but the adress that he gave me was outdated. No one in the previous address knew where they've gone.
No one knows anything... very T.I.C.
I tried calling a lawyer firm from a magazine add and they said they would get back to me, but they still didn't. I'm starting to get desperate, please if someone would know something or appoint me to some good lawyer around here, I will really appreciate it !

When I moved to NZ I needed one from here and the UK too (basically covering places lived in last ten years). I got the one from here from a police admin office (thats the best I can describe it) in Mongkok. The consulate of the country you are moving to should be able to advise you where to go but it was near the MTR. The one from the UK I did via the internet with the Met Police it was v. straightforward and a small charge.
