does anyone know of a person who repairs broken tv's? I don't need it and could drop it off to anyone who wants it. A second hand tv shop? i don't know of any. i just don't like adding stuff to our landfill sites.

There are people buying 2nd hand electronics stuff who are willing to pick up from your home. I have gotten rid of a TV, Hi-Fi, dot-matrix printer, monochrome monitor, and even a fridge. They have paid me between $30-$100 per item, depending on how old it is.
These people "work" in specific neighbourhoods. I have a guy who parks his van halfway down my street. I often see other similar people in Causeway Bay, Quarry Bay, and sometimes in Central. Ask you building management if they know of anyone.
