Has anyone stayed at the Datai with young children? How does it companre to the Four Seasons or Andaman? Thanks

can you elaborate your comment about tanjung rhu resort having a kids quota? we are going there next month with our toddler but have not heard anything about this quota?

Yes, it's true that Tanjung Rhu allow only 10 children ( below 12 yrs) per day. This was informed when I did the booking.


You will need to inform them on the exact # of adults and children.

Above 12 is considered an adult.


If children(below 12) accompany the parents, there is a restriction on the type of rooms.

Damai - 2 adults and no child (below 12)

Chahaya - 2 adults and 1 child (below 12)

Bayu - 2 adults and 2 children (below 12)

thanks for the information. we are going there with our toddler who will be 17 months old. i am not surprised by how many children are allowed in rooms based on its size as most hotels do impose such restrictions. i am however surprised by the 10 per day quota, will check with my agent about that as we are just about to book it - don't want to turn up there and be told we've got the 11th kid!
