we just use a Braun hand hel\d blender, as it is a great kitchen tool anyway. We had it before baby, used it for baby, and still use it for thigs in the kitchen.
There is really not need to buy a 'special for baby only' tool that you will only use for 6 months or so...

Agree with Cri. I also used Brand hand blender for both my sons. Its quite good. And now after my sons don't need it, I still can use it for making sauce, juice, etc

I have the Beaba Babycook and always thought that it didn't make a big difference. However, I just took it on holiday with us and it was fantastic being able to buy local produce and steam food for bubs in the hotel room. Also great for blending up food gleaned from breakfast buffets etc.

How old is he?
A fork works pretty well, blenders are good and food mills are quick and easy.

go for braun, it's great even after baby outgrows puree food, it's just overall a great kitchen tool. a good multi-tier steamer will be very useful too so that you can cook various veggies or fruits at a time, and then freeze them in ice-cube trays.
