if you read up - many people will START trying Gina Ford - at two weeks or a month. But most of us dont notice ANYTHING really falling solidly into place until well after the 3rd month.

But Gina will help you develop good habits for your baby - sleep eat play and then sleep routines. Reminders to let the baby fall asleep on his or her own in the cot. Feeding (especially if you are breastfeeding) more often during the day than during the night, as well as lots of good pointers for night time and day time separation for the babies.

Even though you START a routine earlier - you're not necessarily going to SEE that the routine is working until later - but good habits start young I like to say. I think the key is to NOT GET frustrated when Gina or any routine isn't completely working out for you on day 10 or even 21. you just start and each day is a new day. (Oh - I like that about her too - your day starts at the SAME time every day - no matter what happened the night before - which sounds exhausting, but it really makes things fall into place a lot faster.)
