Work permit

Hi,

I wonder if anyone is on the same situation as me!

My boyfriend was relocated to Hong Kong a few months ago and I followed him thinking that it would be easy to find a job! I started sending resumes as soon as I got here and several recruitment agencies called me for interviews. However, when I told them that I wasn't married and therefore needed my future employer to sponsor me for a work permit, they basically never called me back. I am getting a bit frustrated! Does anyone had or has the same frustrating experience as me?

Thanks

Thanks Island Dweller.

I guess I need to do some self-promotion:

I am looking for a position as an Export executive, have a Master in international business, speak english, french, spanish, portuguese and currently learning mandarin. I have a year experience in export and 3 years experience as a key account manager in financial services.

If anyone knows about a position, please feel free to help!

Thanks

In order for you to even get a work visa u need to prove to immigration why you are more quilfied or have more experience than a potential local employee. So that said and based on the fact you dont have much working experience try to find something that relies heavily on your language skills, that will give you a good edge. good luck.
