You are right. The Chinese embassy will refuse to issue you any type of work visa as it is now not allowed to employ non-Chinese domestic workers on the Mainland. There are very, very few exceptions to this.

You may be able to get a tourist visa from the Chinese embassy, but authorities are cracking down on illegal domestic staff and when caught both you and your employer will be deported.

You'd have better luck in Hong Kong.

You don't understand. You will not be able to get a work permit as a tutor unless you can prove:

a) University education in the field you wish to tutor;

b) Prior work experience as a tutor; and

c) you have been previously employed overseas with the people in China you will work for as a tutor.

Another problem is that Filipinos cannot convert any type of visa to another type of visa without returning to Manila first and going to the Chinese embassy -- who will promptly deny your visa.

You cannot work on an F business visa, period.

To FinePinay,

You can do like most Filipinos do in China - apply for a tourist visa in the local Chinese Embassy. Now most are given only 15 days tourist (L) visa.

When you are in China mainland, have it changed to 6-month F visa. Beijing LEEO can help you do that.

I am afraid you can never get a Residence Permit for work (means "work visa") with whatever the reason you give.

Filipinos cannot change their visa status inside of China. They are almost 100% told to return to Manila and apply -- where they are promptly refused. The same applies to Indonesians and Africans usually, too.
