Thanks chiki, but in advertising, Magazine has better long term effect that newspaper, specially a magazine with good readership. Because the newspapers, they easily throw away and do not keep for future use. and besides, the glossy magazine can give the advert a better look. I have seen the newspepers, their distribution is only limited to certain areas. mainly on those who advertise with them. anyway, thanks chiki.

I agree pamposa, a magazine has a pass-along readership, unlike the newspapers which are easily disposed.

The PH newspapers in HK have a much larger readership than, say the SCMP, in terms of the number of people who read the same copy. They are handed from one person to another, the passing-on often extending to a week or so after publication date. You might like to check (carefully) the circulation numbers before making a final decision.

i bought kayumanggi mag for HK$12 and contacted them, they sent me mag profile. found out it started in 1994, which with the availability of Free newspapers and some HK$12 mag circulate in HK for 13 years, i think speaks a lot for its following. although we are not ruling out the possibility of placing an ad in free papers and even radio, or other means, but cos i have been in advertising for sometime, a nice looking ad on a popular print media, specifically a leading mag, brings a smile to the advertisers.

i also have the habit of keeping my magazines, but not my newspapers.

Magazines are nice specially the popular ones. I keep my magazines. While I can see the free newspapers scattered on the floor, people in the park or the bridges just sit on it, then at the end of the Sunday, a whole pile of rubbish is left, made up of a lot of newspapers, I myself do not want my ads to just be sat on or end up in the rubbish bin.
