I am moving to Hong Kong at the end of August and want to bring my 7 pound female Yorkshire Terrier. I will be teaching at the GT ( Ellen Yeung) College in Tseung Kwan O and will need to find an apartment within walking distance to the school for around 1100 USD. Could you tell me any apartments that I should contact? Also, people from Hong Kong are very discouraging about bringing her, but it seems that there are vets and kennels available, so I don't understand why it will be a problem. I also understand that since I am from the U.S., Hong Kong does not require that your animal be quarantined if they have the proper shots and documentation.
Thank you very much for your help!

And here is the Government site (as the one from WoDer will likely be deleted):

The flats in HK are. The advertised size is the gross not net size. If you dog is used to living in a small place, it should be ok. As WoDer points out, many buildings do not allow pets. Of course you can smuggle your dog in and out every day for walks and hope that no one reports you.
The nearest developments (excluding public housing - the school is in a public housing estate) are Metro Town and Ocean Shores. Both are above the Tiu Keng Leng MTR (mass transit railway) station and so command higher prices.
