when you travel with your baby/toddler, what medicine do you usually pack for emergencies?

Our Dr gave us pink baby paracetemol, the orange one for higher fevers, some stuff for mosquito bites (he gets really swollen and pussy), saline drops for the nose, and hylands teething tablets.... ome alcohol swabs and a few plasters.

That's about it...

We have a little kit made up - with sachets of calpol, baby neurofen, mozzie stuff (repellant and stuff to put on bites), antiseptic cream, alcohol swabs, plasters, a few cotton buds, a tiny freebie pot of sudocrem, teething gel and Avent magic cream!

Sounds pretty similar ro crj. I find the sachets of medicine useful but sometimes they split so put them in a ziplock seperate to everything else or it can get very sticky!

very interesting!

spicegal, what is avent magic cream?

i was just keen to know what parents pack to know i am on the right track. when i went to UK last year, it was just before a check-up and my doc gave me a travel pack of paracetemol, something for cold and something for dodgy tummy. so i have always travelled with something similar, just wondering if i should update it and make a little kit that i never travel without.

what antiseptic cream do you use that is suitable for tots? and crj, for alcohol swabs, do you mean that in little sachets?

WM - yes those little ones you get when baby is born at hospital - I always have a few in the diaper bag just in case...

Avent magic cream is fab - total multi purpose cream for babies. Check out anywhere that sells Avent products. I've had one tube since LO was born and used it for all sorts of things. Love the stuff.

I just use savlon antiseptic cream - is that not suitable for babies? Ooops? Don't use it often - less than once a month...

I don't have anything for upset tummies - what do you use?

will look out for avent magic cream.
