I've not been here that long at all, but know what u mean - I find it hard to get a gud nites sleep (even with the aircon) & find I can't do as much in the day as i would normally fit in.
On a lighter note, i can't shop till i drop anymore -so am saving loads a pennies. lol

I am so happy for the blue skies but wow, it's hard to do simple daily tasks outside. I feel unwell too just walking a few blocks.

how do i beat the heat? i try to stay at home as much as possible, and schedule my appointments much much later in the day.
i also find it hard to sleep at night even with the aircon on. good thing a cold shower helps a lot.

I'll try to avoid the heat in air-conditioner area. But there are times, when i could not avoid to walk in the heat like:weekend in the causeway bay to purchase something. The crowds and the heats does really make me sweaty and giddy!

cool down the apartment by a few degrees by switching off or dimming unnecessary or all lights
stay in the shade or under a brolley/hat and
drink lots of water too..

and another advantage of switching off all your lights at night is you can walk around your apartment........ NAKED!!!!

I bought a few of those travel size plastic spray bottles and I fill them with water and add a few drops of lavender and lemon oil and spritz myself a few times a day and whether it psychological or not, it really seems to help beat the heat.

hope this cools down things

The Observatory says it may issue the number three strong wind signal this afternoon as severe tropical storm Pabuk moves closer to Hong Kong. The storm is east of the territory, and heading west towards Guangdong at about 30 kilometres an hour. A senior scientific officer, Mok Hing-yim, said the weather will deteriorate later in the day
