I was thinking about doing a shop for bits in Bangkok before I leave Asia in October. Can anyone tell me how they ship stuff back to HK especially things like china pots and fabric- more than allowance.

Or does anyone know of a good place to buy in HK or Shenzhen at a reasonable price.

I wonder whether anyone will understand what you are asking. You want Thai things? Chinese things? Hong Kong things? Why not buy and ship to wherever you are going?

well if you are going to go to the chatuchak / jatujak weekend market (www.jatujakguide.com) they have stalls there that provide shipping services so i guess you would talk to them.
