My daughter did not get her first tooth until she was 9 months old. There is nothing at all to worry about. Just be comforted in the fact that they may all pop through at the same time, so not so many sleepless nights than if it drags on over months.

We got our first teeth at 9 months, and got about 4.

Then Nothing.

No More.

Then at 15 months - 18 months they have been coming in like crazy!!

We think our son is super efficient, he gets them in groups, and gets over the teething in one go for 3-4 teeth at a time!

hi, it is purely genetic - ask you mum and your husband's mum when your teeth came through. our babies started popping teeth at 4 months and have 16 teeth each by 12 months (which i understand is a bit unusual!) but most our friends with the same age babies - 13-14 months - only have between 1 and 6 teeth! so absolutely nothing to worry about!!

My daughter cut her first tooth just in time for her 1st birthday ... the rest came through quite quickly after that.

on another reassuring note for those who are late teethers -

dentists say it's better - less chance for tooth decay and whatnot - makes it better for their overall dental health in the long run!
