hi,

where can i find out about chinese taxes on foreginers (on work visa)? i make about 19 000RMB/month and my employer withheld several thousand saying it's for tax. seems like a rather high % to me....

i'm in shanghai. thanks.

You are in the 20% bracket on your total income minus the first 4800, which is tax free.
