You have two-fold problem: is the helper really hitting your child? And if not, is your child learning to be manipulative by making false accusations? I would suggest that a camera be used, perhaps your computer camera if it already exists - but do NOT tell your son or helper about it at any time.

just an idea....i always find my 3 year old very open and ready to listen when we spend time together in the night putting her to bed...may be u can choose such time when its just both of u tog and ask him gently instead of it sounding like cross examining....i guess u would be able to judge it better when he is talking about it calmly rather than in a hyper way...

yes...i know its very difficult to rock the boat and start the process of finding another trustworthy helper..but as u urself said, nothing exceeds the safety of ur child first...just confront it openly and tell her ur just not comfortable with it...

Talk to your helper and tell your rules re hitting your child, so if you caught her doing this, then you have reason to terminate her.

If I were you, I will fry the helper immediately.
For me, I could not bear the helper hit my child.
She seems not a person you could trust.
She is not that kind of person who love children.
If she doesn't have patient and love children, how could she help to take care your boy.
