Can anyone help with recommending schools in Singapore. I have 3 children all in esf schools and 2 of them in high school with one just about to start her GCSE'S. I would like to know about high schools with the IB programe. The other child is in primary yr4. With a move looming over the next 6-12 months I thought I had better start my homework.

Thanx

The United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA) in S'pore has a good reputation and offers IB. It's a very international secondary school (11 to 18 year olds), sister school of the UWC Li Po Chun here in HK.

ISS and OFS also offer IB in primary and secondary. Australian school also offers for pimary. Canadian has just got authorised for primary - not sure about high school. There are plenty of options. Of course I am sure you will visit all the school to make your decision - but that is particularly important in Singapore as the facilities and opportunities vary greatly. You may also want to consider where you are going to live, as traffic can be a factor. Another consideration is that you will probably want all your children at the same school as many of the international schools have slightly different holiday periods which can be a pain if you have kids in differnt places. Depending what your kids want/need, there are certainly plenty of good options in Singapore.

good post, I heard something that children are a year ahead in HK over the age groups on Sing. Is this true. Ie. if you child was in Yr 4 in HK, they would have to enroll in Yr 3 in SING?
