still awaiting visa!!

my visa application was entered 8 weeks ago and i am still awaiting approval. i have given all the documents and have no criminal convictions and my new employer/sponsor has told me not to worry. Are there any reasons why visa's can be refused? i am qualified and held a steady position for 10 years in the UK.

Suggest you engage a professional to follow this up. Probably cost you a few thousand dollars but sounds like you need to discuss seriously with an Immigration officer. Have you had a case file number assigned yet!!
