Have seen adverts for this recently and been contemplating treating myself post birth of first baby earlier this year and move to HK. I know two colours that suit me really well and a few that don`t but am bored of sticking to just two key colours and wondered if a consultation might be worthwhile. Anyone had it done here or know of someone who has ? What was the conclusion - worthwhile or not ?

Hi Sarah,
Pls let me know how it goes, if it's really worth it. I've read good reviews re Savvy Style.

Thanks Douglas, Savvy Style is the one I saw the advert for - the website looked good too. Just hoping a few people out there can let me/us know what the experience was like for them.
Honeypie - agree it is not cheap but then how many costly mistakes do women make buying clothes that don`t really suit ?

Agree - not to mention make-ups, lipsticks, foundation that we never finish at all.
If they have a group class so it's cheaper, let me know and i can join you.

I did color me beautiful years ago and it was the best thing I could have done for a confidnece boost. You often find colors that you didn't think you could wear but look fabulous on you. You buy less crap and feel more confident spending money on more extravagant buys such as a ball gown or Winter coat. The woman I used left ages ago. You should go with a friend but no more than 2 or you'll never find out about your own colors. Definitely worth the money for a boost!

Hi Sarah,
have you tried it? there are some classes at Y, cheaper but it might have lots of students.

Sarah, I did colour me beautiful a few years ago with the woman Eve replaced and I thought it was worth every penny. I felt amazing after. I have also seen Eve for a style consultation and wardrobe weeding. I really like her and although it was great, i do feel it is a bit rushed. But don't let that put you off; I've bought the colour consult for a few friends for bdays and you get your makeup done and the colour palette you get is really useful. The friends have all loved the present and Eve. My wardrobe has changed a lot and now I know what colours suit me and what styles. I would do it again in a few years when I need a boost.

How much are we talking for a style consultation and colour consult ? thanks

for 2 1/2 hours is $3,500, this is the complete package with make-up. For a simpler one hour, it's around $1,350....pls. don't quote me on the price, it's what i remember last time i called them.

Thank you qwern and scissors for your postings. Am definitely going to book myself in, but maybe only for the colour consulation ($1,470 for 1 hour - see www.savvystyle.com) - I like to think I generally know what clothes suit me, it`s just finding colours other than the two I know really suit.
Scissors - would you say colour consultation only is still as worthwhile ?
Honeypie - appreciate your offer of sharing the session but, having thought about it, I think it`s something I`d prefer to have as a one to one - to make sure I really got the most out of it. Hope you understand. Maybe someone else out there would like to join you ?

hi sarah, i also would like to try one on one too to have full hour on me. It's just to save so thinking of doing it with somebody, but you're right, better to do it alone. Please PM or post here how did you find it, i might book too next month. Considering Style consultation or The New Colour Me Confident Magic Makeover ~ $1888
Pumpkin, did you have the Total make-over, all in one, which is $3,500? Thanks.

Pumpkin if you see this, could you let me know what package you went for - thanks.
Equally, if anyone is seeing this thread for the first time and has any comments I`d be grateful as am probably going to book up in next week or so, just not sure which of the many packages to go for.

I have met Eve and worked with her from a business point of view, she designed the uniforms for the business I run. She is a real professional and knows her stuff. You can email her at image@savvystyle.com
Complete pckages including the works as it reads on her card is $3500 but you can also go for colour analysis, style consultation and make up consultation. She does parties for a minimum of 4 people - lots of different options.
She is located in Central, Duddel Street and always seems to be quite accomodating with her time.

I've been to Savvy Style and seen Eve. I am not a shopper, so finding out what works for me has saved me a lot of time and money. I don't waste time trying on styles and colors that won't look good on me. I can zero in on clothes that work. I usually hesitate to spend so much money on tht kind of thing, but it was really worth it. Eve was really nice too.
