hi
I want to take my fiance out for dinner on his birthday. Something a little special and intimate although preferably not really expensive. Am open-minded re types of food, but would like somewhere in Central/ Wanchai. Any suggestions?

Kate - I love M at the Fringe (very romantic and food prob in my books the best in HK). Another one - very special I thought - is Le Boat in the Deep Water bay - you know the junk boat with the red sails (you might have seen it sometimes?. Pretty amazing setting - dont let location put you off, it is only 15 min taxi from Central. Neither are particularly cheap - but pretty amazing - here are websites
