Having problems with Windows Live Messenger. Friend in Singapore and I tried to chat yesterday, both of us were online and properly signed in but both of us saw the other was offline and neither received any offline messages.


Anyone know if there are problem lately or how to fix? Have already tried to sign out and back in again but no difference so far.

Got a feeling that MSN live messenger has been blocked by someone for some unknown reasons. I and some of my clients (we provide IT service to our clients)have faced the same problem for two weeks. By accident, I found that if you are using the 4.7 version, you would solve the problem.

It cld be problems with MSN servers. Normal thing. Sometimes they do upgrades n stuff and that create this sort of problems. Don't have to do anything.

The problem continues in China, the latest version MSN cannot be used. They said that the problem will go away after the 17th People Congress. Seems like that there is a political tone in this matter.
